Is Watchtower's stance against education only for North American witnesses
by wannaexit ini was reading on a european ex jw forum where some feel that watchtower's railing against higher education is primarily for north america issue.
this is due that many in usa and canada leave home to leave on campus.
it was mentioned that many young european jw attend universities and its not frowned on.. i found this odd because i heard what morris and losch said about education in italy.

I live in Italy and I have read the italian link. I don't see a big difference between Italy and the States although there were a few positive comments of Jw's that were " allowed " to attend college but as I have read in some comments
- it's very difficult to find a job in Italy and university give you much better chances ( maybe I should say GAVE )
- it is true that distances in Italy are not comparable to the distances Usa so there is a good possibilty to find a university not too far from home
- I think university is much cheaper in Italy -

the students are muslim and do their prayers at school and have daily quran lessons.
my job is to teach art, english literacy and literature, and history.

Nonsense! Who is north and who is south? Till there was a wall in Berlin we used to say east and west. This is really tipical
JW blablabla but let me participate in this discussion. The king of the south is Islam and the kings of the north are Us and Russia.
I know, also this is hilarious and blablabla, but AT LEAST GEOGRAPHICALLY CORRECT!!!!!!

france now has more than six million muslims.. germany now has four million muslims.

smiddy, you've got a point. The international press is trying to convince us about Palestines being victims.
What victims? Launching rockets and protect their bases with children and woman?
We should all listen to the son of Hamas leader and why he diesn't agree with his father. As far as Europe and all these
moslems are concerned in my country ( Italy ) they don't build mosques, if they
want a mosque they can go back to their own country. I see only one problem and that is
Islam just like Wtbts but much bigger.

Advice Needed
by HeyThere inso my situation is changing and i am trying to figure out the best way for me to handle this.
i am an unbaptized publisher married to a dub who was inactive when we met and when we married and during the course of our marriage, and just went back active a year and a half ago.
he is a full believing dub.

although I studied I never was an unbaptized publisher so I after a year of studying nonsenses I told the elder that all these
things about the gentile times and 1914 were " completely invented " by men and that was it. The elder refused to continue the bible study, I stopped with the teocratic school and became " WORDLY " again. I continued, however, to attend most of the meetings with my wife.
Nothing special happened, after a few years I didn't gomanymore tomthe meetings, we had three children
( normal not jw's ! ) and my wife goes so now and than to the KH ( she is very liberal ).

I had a Barbera del Monferrato yesterday. I live in the Barolo aerea but I prefer dolcetto even if I don't drink it anymore because it is too
expensive. I used to go directly to the winefarmer and buy a carboy ( 54 liters ) of Docletto and bottle it myself.

maybe I am reading too much
by roberto avon inwhile i was reading a book ( picture emclosed ) some toughts came up in my mind.
brothers in the usa are not allowed to have a moustache unlesse it concerns coloured brothers but white brothers are allowed to have a beard if they are bold ( i read it on this forum ) so i am very sorry for the coloured brothers who want a beard, no way!.
in france, brothers are allowed to have a beard and in scandinavia " longer " hair ( i would like to advise " worlds apart " a very interesting movie about shunning ).. so if a french, coloured brother moves to scandinavia and let his hair grow and then .

what I know for sure is that in Italy beards and moustaches are not allowed but we live very near to the french border where a beard is allowed.
Also that in countries as Danmark there are quite a few brothers with " longer " hair. Really happy that I don't belong to this " family ".
